Community

As responsible members of the investment community, the Georgia Securities Association makes an effort to fulfill a part of the organization’s mission by giving back to the local community.

The hallmark of the GSA’s charitable giving is our 46-year relationship with the Georgia Council on Economic Education in support of the Georgia Stock Market Game. In recent years, the GSA has also established philanthropic relationships with the Atlanta Mission, City School Atlanta (formerly known as Bright Futures), Nicholas House and Our House.

The GSA has also been awarding scholarships annually since 1996 to needy recipients whose families are involved in our industry. The GSA’s average annual distribution to scholarships and charitable contributions for the last three has been over $100,000 thanks to the amazing support of our Fall Outing sponsors.

Atlanta Mission is a community united to end homelessness, poverty, and addiction one person at a time. We transform, through Christ, the lives of those facing homelessness, poverty, and addiction.

City School Atlanta’s holistic approach to supporting youth involves our academy, after-school programs, and summer camp. We are committed to year-round programs and year-round transformation.

Nicholas House’s mission is to help families experiencing homelessness become self-sufficient by providing them with stable housing while addressing the root causes of their homelessness so that they never become homeless again.

Our House provides transformative care to end the cycle of homelessness for families. Our programs address the root causes of homelessness and ensure every family that  has the tools to achieve lasting self-sufficiency.
