Our Mission & Objectives
Mission
Educate Membership
The key to any thriving industry is the ability to stay current and move ahead. GSA, as an affiliate of Security Traders Association, can give insightful information about key industry issues. Examples would be:
- Market structure issues
- Providing expert seminars on compliance and regulatory matters.
- Introduce membership to leaders in the industry
Lobby on Behalf of Membership
The GSA has the unique ability to lobby for its membership on both a local and national level. The GSA is an affiliate of the Security Traders Association (STA). The STA has offices in both New York and Washington. STA is constantly working on national industry issues for our membership.
Give Back to Community
The GSA provides support to several charitable organizations. The GSA provides scholarships annually to recipients whose families are involved in our industry.
Communicate Important Issues to the Membership
One key benefit to the membership is the ability to receive information concerning key issues that affect our industry. The GSA, through its website and email distribution, disseminates information on a timely basis. This information can be local or from the national office of the STA. The STA has many committees that provide insight into key issues including market structure, regulations, and other key areas.
Provide Opportunities to Network with Colleagues
The GSA has several annual events that provide networking opportunities for its members. Members in varying roles in our industry can meet, network and build lasting relationships.
